Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shakar was an American and British sitarist. She was the youngest and the first woman to be awarded the British House of Commons Shield she has had 9 Grammy Awards nominations and was the first musician of Indian origin to play live on stage and also serve as a presenter at the awards ceremony. Her early years included a period of time between London as well as New Delhi. Her first performance took place on stage in New Delhi when she was just 13 years old. Later she moved in Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Even though she's very young Anouskha is a star in her performing and recording record. She performs regularly together with her dad, and has performed with him for a long time years. She released her first self-titled album Anourag in 1998. The Grammy Award-winning album Live at Carnegie Hall was released two years following her debut solo album. Alongside performing at many of the biggest venues and venues, she also has a long stage career. Her career doesn't just include musical performances. Anoushka was able to gain numerous valuable experience by accompanying her dad when he toured the world. This included performing in Carnegie Hall and at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festivals and performing with George Harrison. Her musicianship and talent were recognised by British parliament as among the finest of the best in Asian Arts.
